YBF- Your Best Face Skincare: A Personal Perspective
Let me start by saying that I am not being paid to write on this line of anti-aging skincare- I was given the four products to use and then write about them, so if they didn’t work, I would have nothing to lose. I kept a journal of the day-by-day effects of the products and how I applied them.
For as long as I can remember, my skin has been a mess. Large pores, sporadic acne and patterned dryness that intensified with various acne treatments became worse when I opted to take a part-time position at the local supermarket as the “Ice Cream Specialist”- (consistently poking one’s face in and out of a large freezer can have an adverse effect on already difficult skin). My face was at a point where I felt hopeless, as there couldn’t be a product (never mind a complete line) out there that could fix all of my problems at the same time. I felt hopeless—that I would live the rest of my life with horrible skin.
Then I came across the YBF line. I was hopeful, yet hesitant, as I already tried so many different product lines and was disappointed by all, including one that has a national ad campaign complete with celebrity endorsements and a money-back guarantee (thank goodness). I’ve been using the product line as recommended for the past 2 months and my results are absolutely amazing. The information below contains actual excerpts from my personal journal regarding my YBF experience:
Day 1 A.M. – Wednesday, January 10, 2007: Nine new blemishes have popped up within the last week. My eyes are puffy and I have 6 “fine lines” under my left eye and 5 under my right. My forehead is flaking with dry skin, as in the creases around my nose. My chin is an unpleasant combination of red bumps, shiny spots and dead skin. I washed my face with Neutrogena’s clear face bar to avoid any “clash” in ingredients. I applied, as directed, “Correct” in a small amount under and around each eye. The next product used was “Defend” I let the Defend dry before I applied the next step – Control, as that was the directive. The scent was calming, yet invigorating- something I found to smell a lot like almonds, but is a mere reflection of all ingredients and no added perfumes. My face felt “clean”.
P.M.: At night, I again washed my face with the Neutrogena clear bar. I applied the “Correct” around my eyes and “Restore” to the rest of my face. Day 1 was now complete.
Day 2 A.M.- Thursday, January 11, 2007: I worked at the grocery store, popping myself in and out of a zero-degree freezer for 5 hours. Cleansed face with Neutrogena again and applied YBF just as I had yesterday. I used a foundation formulated for dry skin to help with the blowers in the freezer affect on my face.
P.M. Same as previous day.
Day 4 A.M. – Saturday, January 13, 2007: Same regimen as previous 3 days. Stopped to get gas at a self-serve station. While pumping the petroleum, I noticed how every male in the parking lot went out of their way to say “hi” to me. One group of “younger” guys drove up next to me in their truck, honked the horn and licked the window of their vehicle from the inside! Even though the gesture itself was pretty disturbing to say the least, I managed to wade through the deed and take it as a compliment.
Day 6 A.M. – Monday, January 15, 2007: Applied everything as normal, including the dry-skin foundation that I usually wear on Monday and Thursday when I work in the freezer at the market. By noon, I had to go into the ladies room and take off my make-up for it felt “slimy”. This was when I realized that putting moisture into my skin in the way of a foundation was no longer necessary. In fact, my skin required no special treatments, as no new blemishes surfaced in a week.
Day 8 A.M.- Wednesday, January 17, 2007: This evening I was to attend a small family get-together for my dad’s 71st birthday. I did the entire YBF regimen in the morning to go out to run errands, and redo it later in the day before heading to the party. My mom commented on my face before I said anything. She remarked that my face looked cleaner than it had in a long time. I developed a very small blemish on my chin at some point in the afternoon. I applied a tiny amount of acne ointment.
Day 8 P.M.: I wanted to “speed-up” the YBF process after getting such a positive response from my mother. I applied the entire line again before I went to bed- I woke up at 3 a.m. with a red face that was sensitive to the touch. I learned to stick to the directions and not to rush the outcome.
Day 12 A.M.- Sunday, January 21, 2007: My in-laws made plans to visit today, so I took extra care to use YBF perfectly today. It worked! My sister-in-law kept staring at my face. She asked me if I cut my hair or had it low-lighted or something because “you look different”. I brought out the product line and my journal. She asked my why it worked on my acne- I couldn’t answer her, but I just know that it worked wonderfully. The acne was gone, my face wasn’t dried out at all, and my fine lines under my eyes had decreased from 6 and 5 to 2 and 1.
For the next few weeks, I switched up the products to see how the outcome would be affected. I used Correct in the morning only, and used Restore alone before I went to bed. I also used Control before applying my foundation. I did this from day 15 through day 21. I believe it was the anti-oxidants within the products kept my face from developing any new wrinkles or blemishes, maintaining an even skin tone and complexion.
Day 22 brought another tiny blemish, this time to the left crease next to my nose. Since it’s just the second one in just over 3 weeks, I wasn’t going to cry about it. My face still looks very good, but it was definitely lacking something. Of course, my skin had been so horrible for so long, it was still a massive improvement. I decided to take the Control out of my morning routine and replace it with Defend.
For 8 days this time, from day 22 through day 29, I used the Defend after cleansing my face with Neutrogena’s clear bar and applying Correct under my eyes. After applying foundation, my face looked great. But I wanted my face to look great without foundation. I wanted to be able to go to the market without any face make-up on, just a bit of mascara- something that I had never been able to do…not even in my teens. I went back to using the entire YBF line, for my face obviously needed the special care of the complete line.
From February 10 until the present, I can barely put into words the feeling I get from the products. Today is February 26, 2007; my kids are on a break from school; I didn’t work at the market; I did, however, go shop there without foundation on my face. This was the first time that I can remember leaving the house without it. I felt confident, not wanting to hide behind displays and run from fellow workers.
Again, I have not been paid to write this. I am a 38-year old, mother of 2, a freelance writer and a part-time “ice-cream specialist” at the local supermarket. Every notation and remark made has been done as a result of the positive personal experience I had with YBF.

Hormones plain and simple, you are Beautiful you Know, and getting older actually its cool, I now longer care because If God and Husband say I’m beautiful that is all I need ! Who cares what the rest of the world thinks huh!
Sharon, why so judgemental of someone wanting to take care of themselves?
I don’t think she’s being judgemental, I think she’s just saying that how you look isn’t as important as so many other things…she’s being nice…
