I posted this on Yahoo answers and here is some responses!
Well many houses are said to be haunted. She needs to call in a team of paranormal researchers and let them see if they can capture anything on film or tape. It is also reported that children or teenagers seem to have more activity going on around them. Who really knows what is going on until some research is done.

Sounds haunted, but so does every 150 year old house. Until that house is investigated by "professionals", they really just have a good spooky story. I wouldn't label them as crazy, they just can't explain what is going on in their house (according to the claim)

well since they are within driving distance for TAPS. They need to call Jason and Grant? I dont know what your wanting us to say here. There is no way for anybody in here to do anything but say, yeah, its a good haunting story.I cant verify the story, I live in Colorado. Nor can I deny the story. It is just that a story on a blog. They haven't contacted the media that they mentioned, and they are asking or help on a blog site. So who knows.

They are really crazy people.Their house is not haunted at all.

I have read the article and it is so often that people contact me with "Am I crazy, or is this really happening?" Whether it is paranormal or if everything that is happening can be explained natually is something that she will need to let qualified indiviuals who investigate claims of the paranormal answer for her. But I will say that based on the age of the home, the history and the reports of activity there is certainly something going on there and she is not crazy.

It is hard to tell from her story. Many times when investigating you find that the reality is not the same as the story you first was told. when asking hard questions and direct questions people realize it did not happen exactly that Way. I can't say her house is haunted or if they are crazy. it could be either. I would like to believe it is haunted but I am not close enough to do an investigation myself.

I would prefer she do some research herself and investigate the house here self. the so called professionals are merely weekend hobbyists which is fine but they do not know anything more than the average person except they have learned the techniques of ghost investigation from their favorite organization.

I psychically shuddered when she said she wanted reputable paranormal investigators. I guess they are all reputable as far as not committing any crimes or violating laws, but sadly too many people have called a so called professional and the end up with photos of dust particles as proof of their ghost.

The parents have the responsibility not to talk it up. Once the children hear the parents discussing the possible ghosts in the house, they are going to be expecting to see ghosts.
Ghosts or no ghosts, if the parents started confidently saying it was a bunch of nothing, the children would follow suit.
All it takes is for an adult to act scared or talk about it being haunted and the kids are going to find it to be haunted for sure.
If you go into a house looking to see apparitions, you are going to see apparitions.
A logical course of action would be to use nanny cams in the kids rooms and leave a light on for them. Darkness can cause the imagination to run rampant.

Well, "feeling creepy" is all the evidence I require. Case closed--it's haunted. But then I'm not a Virgo.

This woman is surprised her daughter sees ghosts after watching Ghost Hunters? Shocking! Children usually aren't at all impressionable. (And then she tells her that her eyes are just playing tricks on her.)

The younger daughter cries when she has to go to her room or to bed? Another surprise! Children normally react very positively to being punished and having to go to bed.

This woman is a true believer and is leading her children into providing testimony to support her beliefs. What a shame. Her magical thinking will no doubt make her daughters reject reality and think the same way.

you are not losing your mind. I think that it important to let you know that right off the bat. Here is what I would advise you to do. Get a recorder and set it up in various areas of your home and let it record. Also, use your camera to take pictures when the toys go off on their own...you might want to consider setting them a certain way and see if and how much they move over a period of time. Video equipment in your daughters room while she sleeps might help to solve the mystery. The key to this is evidence and documentation. Write down the who what when and where and how long, no matter how silly it might seem. Then go online and contact a reputable paranormal investigation team in your area. Be sure and let them know that you have done some recording, photography etc. Best of luck to you!
