Fighting Illegal Immigrant Hiring Laws?
Here is my first question. Why am I even writing about this? The key word is illegal! They have no rights!
OK now you know my side of this subject. Now I will discuss the pros and cons of hiring ILLEGAL immigrants. First lets define the word ILLEGAL: forbidden by law or statute. I believe the discussion should end here. But then it won’t be a blog. So now I have to try to convince allot of Liberals that is illegal. The reason I already defined the word ILLEGAL is liberals like to get the true meaning of word, right Bill Clinton? Hey Bill did you ever get the definition of the word “is”. Notice I did not use the word in the definition. OK I digress. If you don’t know what I mean by the whole Bill Clinton referral just think of Monica Lewinsky.
How about these Arizona businesses and Latino groups vowing to fight illegal immigrant hiring laws? If your not sure about this news read this: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,316237,00.html. In Arizona these Latino groups are worried we are racial profiling skin color. Here we go again. I understand that 99% illegal immigrants crossing the Mexican border are Latino! So if I was a border patrol would I look for Mexicans?
How about these Arizona businesses? Do they think they cannot find anyone else to work at their establishments? Maybe they could pay a little more then minimum wage? How about the taxes these illegal immigrants are not paying but they get free health care, drivers licenses (this one kills me) and free schooling! Please oh great liberals what am I missing here?
Listen I do not believe it putting up a fence around the USA. I believe we need to have rules and easier restrictions on letting immigrants work in the USA legally. How about they prove themselves to be good citizens and awarding them with citizenship. How about giving them rules to follow and having them become legal.
My rant is done! I look forward to liberals responding!

Hi,
Hate to burst your “Liberals are evil” balloon but I agree with you. Illegal means illegal and they should be deported and the businesses that hire them should be prosecuted.
But you really need to look at who you are attacking here because there seem to be more Republicans in favor or amnesty for illegals.
This is from May 23rd 2007 website reporting on a poll taken that week http://www.parapundit.com/archives/004271.html
“A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey conducted Monday and Tuesday night shows that just 26% of American voters favor passage of the legislation. Forty-eight percent (48%) are opposed while 26% are not sure. The bi-partisan agreement among influential Senators and the White House has been met with bi-partisan opposition among the public. The measure is opposed by 47% of Republicans, 51% of Democrats, and 46% of those not affiliated with either major party. ”
In fact the recent “amnesty” bill George W’s baby.
And before you start on Hillary Clinton. Here is what she said:
“…a path to earned citizenship for those who are here, working hard, paying taxes, respecting the law, and willing to meet a high bar for becoming a citizen,”
I do not agree with what Hillary beleives in any more than when Bush said it.
Both sides are pretty pathetic on this one.

I’m… most certain you’re not liberal.
Knox I hate to tell you. I fail the major conservative tests.
I am:
Pro gay rights- (anyone who beleives being gay is a choice is a moron and I refuse to even engage in discussion with them)
The rights of gay people to marry adopt live where they want and not be discriminated or harassed based on who they are.
I am pro-choice- (which apparently conservatives think is pro abortion and that is absolutely not true. I am actually anti coat-hanger)
Anti Death Penalty- (Plenty of innocent people have been executed and since dna research god only knows how many more t hey are going to find out about PLUS I think a life in prison is a far better punnishment than just going nighty-night)
Pro stem cell research.
I am all for going to war with a country that actually attacked us. But I am NOT in favor of attacking a country based on the whim of a dry drunk deserter. No, Bill Clinton didn’t go to Viet Nam but they DID know he was in college and he wasn’t AWOL like GW Bush was.
I am spiritual but not religious. (believe fiercely in separation of church and state but I fiercely support the right of anyone to beleive in anything they want as long as they don’t harm anyone else)
That is how I define myself as a liberal. And I do love my country deeply and my heart breaks for every soldier who dies every day even though its not even important enough to the media to be mentioned on the news any more. These brave men and women are being sent into a meet grinder because Little Georgie wanted to play war!

I would call that Independent
I don’t think a neocon would think that.
The fact is that liberal and conservative don’t fit nicely into boxes. All I can say is that I know I identify far more with liberals than conservatives so in this polarized society I am a liberal.
How about joining the Cool Moose Party! They are in RI. . . Or create a new party based on your beliefs. You can call it NotConservativeButNotLiberal!
I honestly don’t think being called liberal is the worst thing in the world. I like the word “Progressive” better but it kind of sounds snobby.
