The Religion Of Peace ?????
The Muslim Religion has been a topic of many articles here on this website. Every-time a story comes out about a ridiculous, inhumane and barbaric issue it seems that the Muslim Religion is the center of the topic. Let’s take a look at the latest story I found on FoxNews.com: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,324666,00.html . This article is about a 23 year old journalism student in Afghanistan sentenced to death because printed off a paper and distributed it. Three judges in Afghanistan called it a violation of the tenants of Islam and he should be put to DEATH! The three-judge panel sentenced Sayad Parwez Kambaksh to death for distributing a paper that humiliated Islam. Oh sure his family and a journalist group denounced this ridiculous sentence but how did it even get this far? “He told them he didn’t write this article,” said Brahimi. “It was written by an Iranian.” Supposedly only President Hamid Karzai can forgive Kambaksh because he had confessed to violating the tenets of Islam. So obviously Afghanistan has no freedom of the press or freedom of religion. I am glad my hard earned tax dollars are going to such a worthy cause Mr. President Bush!
When I see third world thought processes like this I have to use this Blog to express my anger. For those who think this is the only story that shows insane examples of Islamic issues read these:

A few more under the Religion category in this blog will show you more issues discussed about this topic. My point is most Muslims claim they are part of a religion of Peace! I have seen nothing peaceful about this religion from Jihads to extremists. Somebody tell me what I am missing since I have seen no peace at all…….

Problem is that most of the world tends to focus on countries like Afghanistan where the education is very poor, they read and misinterpret The Qur’an and The Hadiths and twist it into ways that they understand and makes sense to them, then they spread this negative twisted version that they understood to their children.
This happens here in america as well you have non-muslims writing books about Islam and giving the non-suspecting public the wrong Idea, same goes for TV they only show you things from countries that are messed up they hand pick the stories and make sure to only pick out the worse ones and feed it to the masses. They pick out quotes from The Qur’an that to anyone of course will sound strange and violent but if one where to read the whole chapter instead of singling out verse, it will most likely make sense and seem more resonable.
Most people here in america either are to scared to actually talk to muslims to try to understand Islam, or live in places where there is less diversity and very few muslims, it’s the publics choice to find out things for themselves directly from the source, instead they just let TV, newspapers and magazine tell them what they think is actual fact.

- What kind of vague and piece of s*it is that. If they can travel to other country’s, assemble bombs find out where and what to do at wich specific time then by my standards you should have enough intelligence to know what the hell you are doing and why. Atleast be able to think for yourself or are the people that didn’t have education really that dumb, then sir your race are weak from birth!

- If your religion is such peacefull religion there shouldn’t be something evil to pick from now is there! take buddhism (isn’t really a religion) but the point is there are believers that follow it, do you see them planning bombs? killing the innocent? or the news picking negative things about them to show the world? NO cause in comparison with the positive things, the negative (if there is any) is 1 bad rice seed in an entire rice field!

- I have encountered muslims many many times in my life here in the netherlands and let me tell you this. 8 out of 10 are violent and hostile when you interact with them especially the youth. If muslims are really that peacefull then this subject wasn’t in existence now would it! There are more violent/redical muslims then there are peace loving muslims and thats a fact! How do you think the fear has come to existence? I understand when you act with the information you got, it’s ok as long you don’t affect others but islam does! innocent people aswell!
I do agree with the previous comment. How can you comment on an issue from a truthful and educated point of view if you only use one side of the story and very a stereotypical line of facts. If you started your commentary using a more first person point of view:ie:After i read the Quran or After i interviewed some Muslims…. Your comments would at least show there was some effort made attaining the facts your comments are based on. But to blindly quote some news headlines is really not proving the or supporting the title of this thread.
Even our own Justice system (at least as documented) tells us you can not come to a conclusion without facts and proofs from both parties. The news articles do have some substance in these specific instances but are very far from encompassing Islam on a whole. In history there are many examples of nations living peacefully in Islamic societies (people of many faiths and cultures) and even more so when violence and Islam are mentioned. Islam was attacked first more of the times. How can Islam have stood the test for 1400 years but most people that feel like you do have only felt this way since September 11th. And the only examples used to support this topic come after September 11th. Why weren’t we warned about this threat to World Peace through Elementary and High school? If Islam taught these people to oppose World Peace, how come we do so much business with them? We would be financing a known opposition to World Peace. I mean we cut Cuba off totally for a lot less than we accuse Islam of doing.
Islam has never tried to forget its past because it is a past to be proud of. A civilization built on belief, mercy and logic. A history that even non-muslims spoke highly of. A history that even recorded its mistakes. Islam appealed by example more than word or force. Take Indonesia as an example the Muslims they met were scholars and merchants. Their example of honesty and manners made the Indonesians want to learn what made these people like they are. So was then easy for them to encompass Islam when the example matched the words. That resulted in Islams biggest population in the world(no fighting ) and you will find very few Arabs there so it was not a take over either. They came to Islam because of belief. We Westerners have a history built on terrorism and disbelief from Europe till North America bloodshed and force. How many places do you know of that Europeans can say they were just welcomed into? How many Native North Americans tell you how great there country has been since Europe forced itself upon them? Or how many Native North Americans came to Christianity due to the great example they were given(people that talked the talk and walked the walk?)? Ya we documented our mistakes in history too, but we documented them in cover-ups and we now want to distance ourselves from our Forefathers because we can say they were wrong(at least now we can). From Caesar, Napoleon, to Hitler and Bush. None of them have ever had a nation with a history as great as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Nation that has had the most influential impact on the world.
Also the Vatican has reported that Islam has surpassed Christianity as the “Worlds Largest Religion”

So if this is a fact, why is the world now turning to Islam as their way of life? Is the whole world being forced?
It is fair to criticize so Muslims, because Muslims are people and people will never be perfect. But to say Islams teaches what some people do is something you need to look into.
Also i myself never claimed to be involved in any 1 doctrine of religion until September 11th invited me to read up on Islam. I always felt there was a Higher Power but refused to just follow with out logical proof. So i was always intrigued by the scientific process: the way one first uses a logical theory and stays with it until it is proven or disproved by fact.
So i’ll leave you with this the Quran is fact (that it is the literal word of God) in agreement with Science and Faith. Being a logical person if anybody can disprove the above statement with undeniable fact (scientific). I would leave Islam that day because it would not be logical for me to live my life based on a lie.
Allah (God in the Arabic Language) says this in the Quran(Right at the Beginning):
Surat 2 Al-Baqarah (The Cow) Verse 2
This is the Book (The Quran) whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which he has forbidden) and love Allah much(perform all kinds of good deeds which he has ordained)].
Surat 2 Al-Baqarah (The Cow) Verse 23
And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Quran) to our slave (Muhammad (peace be upon him)), then produce a Surah(chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides Allah , if you are truthful.

But if you do it not, and you never can do it, then fear the fire (hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.
Those are the words directly from God. This challenge has been issued to man ever since the revelation of the Quran 1400 years ago and no man has taken God up on it.

The thing is, I could pull up a list of atrocities committed by Christians throughout history that make 9/11 look like a walk in the park. I’m not trying to defend Islam, but Christians and Jews are no better. Just look at the genocide being committed against Palestinians by Israel that is funded by Washington. Israeli soldiers beating Palestinian civilians. Kids being shot to death.
Even the violence between Shia or Sunni is molecular-sized compared to the atrocities that have taken place between the Christian sects. Hell, Hitler was Christian, no?
I think the question is for non-Muslims such as the ones who posted above. What do you propose be done? Obviously you believe that we Muslims are evil and devil worshippers. Do you propose concentration camps, or complete liquidation of all Muslims?
It’s amazing how anti-Muslim rhetoric is spewed out in the western media all the time. However, if someone says anything slightly critical of America’s oppressive policy towards Muslims over the past half century or criticizes Israeli genocide against Palestinians, they are compared to pigs, nazi’s, labeled anti-Semites, racists, etc. Sometimes I think my country, the U.S., is going backwards along with the rest of the west.

You see the statement I wrote above is the typical type of generalization that people use, this way of expression is wrong because your taking a whole people and demonizing them.
First off ISLAM is NOT a Race, It is NOT a Nation. Islam was introduced to All Mankind, that’s why it’s the only religion that can exist without racism, there are no Black, White or Chinese Mosque like there are Black, White and Chinese chruches, where everyone is seperated. In Islam everyone is equal except in piety. If you meet a racist Muslim that’s the individual, not the Religion. You can’t compare the 5.9% of the world that’s buddist to the 20+ % that’s Muslim, alot and I mean alot of muslim countries have been screwed over by america they have a right to be angry and a right to choose to start a war against any country just like america does to the rest of the world, but NOT to Attack America in such a cowardly way like on 9/11 killing innocent men, women and children, cause that is a MAJOR SIN in Islam aswell as Suicide.
Second If you were to look up how most of these Radicals learned how to build bombs you’ll know that the U.S with the help of the Pakistani ISI and Mossad, taught them all they know. This happend during the cold war, when the US couldn’t politicaly and physically fight the russian so they funded the Taliban in Afghanistan, who was the only country kicking russias ass at that time hell Afghanistan is way poor to have won that war but they did how? Third I assure YOU if there was Oil or some sort of Commodity in Tibet, there would be some country starting a war or campaign againist it. It’s sad but true that Islam is this generations flavor of the month when it comes to war, in the early 1900′s it was the Germans, in the 40′s it was the Germans/Japanese, in the 50′s it was Korea, in the 60′s it was Vietnam, in the 70′s – 80′s it was Russia. Now it’s the war on Islam, and guess what this is gonna be a long drawn out war cause those who are making money from it won’t give it up that easily.
Fourth You Live in the Netherlands where most of the youth has the right to be angry because of the way they are treated, Your not a muslim to know how that feels, you have morons like Geert Wilders who has made a short movie to demonize Islam, you guys are insensitive to the rights of Muslims by printing pictures of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Im sure if someone where to paint an offense image of Christ (pbuh) there would be an uproar aswell within the christian community.
Islam has Become the world largest Religion and it won’t stop growing I can Assure you that. That means that there is something that is appealing to over 1 billion people, and to new converts and that isn’t Hate or Terrorism or any other evil thing that you try to associate with it.
