The Ultimate Guide To Rides At Disney World

I am an absolute Disney World nut! When I say Disney World I mean all 4 parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Disney MGM). If you ever visit Disney World and not sure what rides to go, here is the list of must do’s. If you cannot go to Disney sit back and watch the videos to most of these amazing attractions! These are really not in any particular order but here are the best rides when you go to Disney World! There may be some surprises because not all the newest rides aren’t necessarily the best.

Honey I Shrunk The Audience: I have been to Disney World 3 times and finally on the last vacation I tried this awesome attraction. Seriously awesome! My daughter and I visited Epcot after hours and had a blast being shrunk down, carried around and spit at by the Giant dog. This one is great for everyone. Make sure you don’t miss this jewel.

Rock And Rollercoaster: Aerosmith and Disney got together and created one of the fastest rollercoasters I have ever been in. It goes from 0 to 60 in like 2 seconds right into a loop! The music is blasting and the que line is fun also. This one is located in Disney MGM and you need to visit this one allot. I also have a cool picture of me and my daughter on it.

Pirates of the Carribean: Yes the movie updated this one and just for that you need to go on it. It was restored last year and updated to the movie. Love the new effects and Jack looks like a real person. Animatronics have come a long way I tell ya… This one is located in the Magic Kingdom. They have great children interactions with Jack outside while you wait. Check out the video:

Disney MGM studios backlot tour: This tour is awesome because while you wait in line you get to look at thousands of props from movies gone by. After the tour you get to see even more props all dolled up. You get to see how they make a movie and people can even join in. You get wet though! Check this video out:

Splash Mountain: This always has long lines but It is a blast. Its like being in a cartoon with all the animals in the brier patch singing along then all of a sudden down ya go…. Nice and wet on a hot summer day. But don’t get caught on it during a mid day thunderstorm like we did. You think you only get soaked from the ride try waiting in the boat for 5 minutes in buckets of rain.

Kilimanjaro Safari: Get to Animal Kingdom early for this fun trek. It gets real hot in the afternoon so my suggestion is getting their when the park opens. You get trucked along by your friendly guide trying to save the animals for poachers. Good family fun.

mickey’s philharmonic: This is an awesome attraction. You get to sit in a comfortable air conditioned theater, not wait a long time and enjoy a show in 4D. The 3d plus the sense of smell happens to you here. You get apple pie blown in your face and even get squirted with water. This is a must that everyone seems to side step. This one is located in the Magic Kingdom.

Hollywood Tower Of Terror: Oh yeah Baby! This one is my favorite. If you go on a slow day you get ride it over and over. The que is awesome and really gets you in the mood. There are different sequences and different amount of bounces so you never know what your ride will be. The effects in the dark are the best!

Disney Monorail: Yeah I know its not a ride but you get to see a whole lot of Disney in airconditioned comfort. If you dare you can even ask to sit up front with the driver of the monorail. It is kind of nice to just take a ride around Epcot , Magic Kingdom and various hotels just for the fun of it.

Space Mountain: It took me 25 years to get to Space Mountain and I loved it. Yeah I know its a bit old but can you say you rode Space Mountain? This is a classic and a must see for anyone. It only goes like 35mph but seems much faster since it is all dark.

The Great Movie Ride: This one is located at Disney MGM and is fun to go to. Takes you back in time to sets in the movies of yesteryear. See the Wizard of Oz, Aliens and Singing in the rain. There is live interaction with set members which is quite amusing. Just good fun.

Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club: This is a comedy club in which animated monsters entertain and interact with the live audience.

Mission Space: Located in Epcot this is truely the freakiest ride I have ever been on. You really feel like you are blasting off with gforce and all. They did another version for the tame hearted. If you want a rush go for the full effect. I wasn’t right for a few hours after though.

Everest: This ride was so fast it was over before I knew it. I bounced around banging my back so it was pretty intense. I honestly loved the cue line. My daughter and I was stuck in it for about an hour in the museam. We got a chance to really look around. It was fast but fun.

Test Track: Located in Epcot. This is an educational and fun fast thrill ride. You get a chance to see what they do to make sure cars are safe for us to drive in. They put you through a few tests and boy are they fun. This is my son’s favorite in Epcot.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin: This is by far my Son’s favorite ride so I have to put it here. I have been on this ride so much I know the secret bullseyes for extra points. This one is located in the Magic Kingdom. Have a watch:

Haunted Mansion: I love this ride and they just upgraded it. Relaxing drive through the mansion to witness dancing ghosts and other special effects. Truly a must.
