Attention All Democrats

 Democrats

Back in the year 1912, President Taft, former President Roosevelt, and future President Wilson, all were running for election.  President Taft was able to get the nomination from the Republican Party, which ticked off Roosevelt.  Roosevelt thus made the Progressive Party, later to be called the Bull Moose Party, splitting the Republican Party.  With that, Wilson was all but guaranteed the Presidency, and he took office the following March.

Now flash forward to the year 2008.  Senator Clinton, Senator Obama, and Republican nominee McCain are all still in the running.  The Democratic Party is fairly divided in the race, with Obama holding a slight lead.  However, Senator Clinton refuses to give up.  She and Obama both plan to continue in the race for as long as possible.

STOP IT!  As demonstrated by the example of 1912, the party will split if a nominee is not decided upon.  Stop caring about you’re self and think about what’s good for America, and the Democratic Party.  Sorry Senator Clinton, I am a supporter, but Senator Obama (who I also think will do well as President), has the popular vote lead.  Give him the nomination, and stop the party from splitting.  I know it would be great to go Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton, but it’s not that important.  Senator Obama has been under attack by racist attack ads, and in this day and age its time we stop racism.  Race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or any other similar factor does not deter someone from being a good President.  What makes some one a good President (or any sort of leader) is tolerance and dedication.  Senator Obama has in fact shown tolerance as he does not what this to be a race of the races.  Obama is the ONLY candidate to demonstrate a desire to end to hate.  Good job Senator Obama.

So, for all you true Democrats out there who don’t want the party to split, or all those who don’t want McCain as the next President of the United States, give Senator Obama you’re support.  Again, I think Clinton would have done a spectacular job, but when it comes down to it, we are really picking Democrat or Republican.  And do we really want another neo-conservative in office?
