Signs Of A Liar!

Liar

Good poker players know how to tell if someone is lying.  Police officers do their criminal investigations based on some of these signs. Liars use signs in their behavior that can easily give them away.  What are the ways you can tell if someone is lying?  How about we tell you:

  • Facial Expressions:  Facial expressions are hard to control so they can give away phony performances.  An example of [Read more →]

Idiot Sightings: Be Careful Out There!

Idiots

Aha! yet again, I’d like to thank my bud Sharon for one of those emails that make me look like an idiot while I laugh all alone…the worst part about this one is that each of these individual “jokes” is absolutely true. Enjoy!

IDIOT SIGHTING
We had to have the garage door repaired. The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a “large” enough motor on the opener. I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time, a -½ horsepower. He shook his head and said, “Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower.” I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He said, “NO, it’s not.” Four is larger than two..”
We haven’t used Sears repair since.

My daughter and I went through the McDonald’s take-out window and I gave the clerk a $5 bill. Our total was $4.25, [Read more →]

Attention All Democrats

 Democrats

Back in the year 1912, President Taft, former President Roosevelt, and future President Wilson, all were running for election.  President Taft was able to get the nomination from the Republican Party, which ticked off Roosevelt.  Roosevelt thus made the Progressive Party, later to be called the Bull Moose Party, splitting the Republican Party.  With that, Wilson was all but guaranteed the Presidency, and he took office the following March.

Now flash forward to the year 2008.  Senator Clinton, Senator Obama, and Republican nominee McCain are all still in the running.  The Democratic Party is fairly divided in the race, with Obama holding a slight lead.  However, Senator Clinton refuses to give up.  She and Obama both plan to continue in the race for as long as possible.

STOP IT!  As demonstrated by the example of 1912, the party will split if a nominee is not decided upon.  Stop caring about you’re self and think about what’s good for America, and the Democratic Party.  Sorry Senator Clinton, I am a supporter, but [Read more →]

The Ultimate Guide To Rides At Disney World

I am an absolute Disney World nut! When I say Disney World I mean all 4 parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Disney MGM). If you ever visit Disney World and not sure what rides to go, here is the list of must do’s. If you cannot go to Disney sit back and watch the videos to most of these amazing attractions! These are really not in any particular order but here are the best rides when you go to Disney World! There may be some surprises because not all the newest rides aren’t necessarily the best.

Honey I shrunk the audience

  • Honey I Shrunk The Audience: I have been to Disney World 3 times and finally on the last vacation I tried this awesome attraction. Seriously awesome! My daughter and I visited Epcot after hours and had a blast being shrunk down, carried around and spit at by the Giant dog. This one is great for everyone. Make sure you don’t miss this jewel.

Rock and Rollercoaster

  • Rock And Rollercoaster: Aerosmith and Disney got together and created one of the fastest rollercoasters I have ever been in. It goes from 0 to 60 in like 2 seconds right into a loop! The music is blasting and the que line is fun also. This one is located in Disney MGM and you need to visit this one allot. I also have [Read more →]

America’s Need for a (Temporary) Dictator

In the ancient Roman Republic when crises threatened the republic, a dictator would be named to serve a six month term in which the dictator was to solve the crisis.  With the exception of Caesar (and some sources refer to another as well) no dictator served beyond this term limit.  One man, Cincinnatus, held the dictatorship, raised an army, destroyed their enemies, and gave up his dictatorship.  He did this in sixteen days.  Sixteen days of unlimited power, and the crisis was taken care of.  Even more amazing, he gave up his power.  This is a prime example of what the United States needs.

In recent years Americans have dealt with crisis after crisis, from 9/11 to Katrina to the on going and seemingly endless War on Terror.  The disaster of 9/11 was handled well, although a ‘War on Terror’ was not needed as much as a war on those who attacked us.  That aside though, government did a good job of handling the situation.  However, [Read more →]

Good vs. Evil

goodevil.jpg

“From my point of view the Jedi are evil.”   -Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader SW. Ep. III  This line is exactly what I’m talking about.  What is good and what is evil depends on who you ask.  If you where to ask a Christian if Islam was an evil religion, the answer would be different than if you asked an Islam.  In today’s society, and human society throughout history, people try to make the world black and white.  Yet it’s not so.  The world is full of colors and shades of good and bad. For starters let’s discuss Communism.  When someone mentions this economic and government system, people automatically think of the USSR and Josef Stalin.  Well, these are actually [Read more →]
