An Extreme Libertarian Speaks Out!

I personally am getting extremely sick of this extended primary between Barack and Hilary.  I’m sick of hearing the mudslinging comments between the two.  I’m sick of hearing about their passport information leak.  I’m sick of seeing pictures of the two candidates.

As an adult gay male I have almost always voted for a democrat.  The party is the foremost in civil rights (gay marriage, pro-choice) even if they hold a few ideals that I find a bit too idillic in today’s society/economy (nation wide health care).

While the Republican party holds some ideals that I find a bit more realistic (The death penalty, gun laws), I find it extremely hard to listen to most of the religious undertone that permeates their speeches.

It is extremely hard to choose which party to listen to sometimes because I like what both of them have to say about various topics.

 As a libertarian though I really dislike the government telling me what to do.

For example, one thing I hate about the democratic party is the welfare system.  I feel that welfare allows some people to sit back and mooch money off of those of us that are actually contributing to society.

One thing that I hate about the Republican party is the severe number of personal choices they feel the need to control.  If the Republican party took over the country nobody would ever have sex before marriage, the birth control pill would be illegal and homosexuals would most likely be shot on sight.

Bipartisanship is really not working here anymore and I’m almost hoping for the apocalypse hour so that I can set up my own small utopian society or that New Hampshire will succeed from the United States.
