ybf Skincare- A Year in Review
*Even if you’ve never used such an amazing like of skincare products like ybf, this article has lots of great tips on getting the most out of any such product. If you’re interested in the ybf line, please visit their website at www.ybf-skincare.com
This year has brought a lot of changes- my daughter is now a teenager, my parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, I’ve lost the 32 pounds that I gained in my 4 years of being a freelance writer (opposed to being a retail manager where I was on my feet all day), and I don’t really now how I ever lived without the amazing line of skincare products from ybf- Your Best Face.
As I approach my 40th birthday, I’ve noticed (like every other female on the planet) that the skin on my face isn’t what it used to be. The dimples on my cheeks that people used to refer to as “adorable” turned into not-so-cute indentions that stayed in place whether I has wearing a cheerful grin or not. My eyelids stopped popping back into place after applying a shade or two of eye shadow. And a pencil eyeliner was almost a thing of the past, as the color would smear a bit downward, sinking into and accentuating every tiny line around my eye.
Did I mention the horrid adult acne that sprang up out of nowhere? [Read more →]

Tanzania Albinos Killed And Body Parts Used
Imagine having poor eye sight so since you don’t have glasses you don’t get educated.
Imagine your kind of people dying of skin cancer at an alarming rate.
Imagine being called by the name “Zeru Zeru” or ghost.
Imagine witch doctors wanting your body parts for portions!
Imagine your family kicking you out of the household because you are known to them as a curse!
Imagine having red eyes so you are killed for witchcraft.
Imagine being tracked down and killed in a ritual killing.
Imagine your dead body being dug up and your arms, genitals, tongue, breasts and legs being cut off and used in potions to make people rich!
Imagine your parents exchanging you for money because you are Albino!
In the East African country of Tanzania these points are reality. Because these are a reality and the Government in the past has turned a blind eye Tanzania’s President, Jakaya Kikwete, used his monthly television address to announce a crackdown on the traditional healers as well as plans to register albinos to improve their safety. “These killings are shameful and distressing to our society,” said Mr Kikwete in his Wednesday night speech to the nation. “I am told that people kill albinos and chop their body parts, including fingers, believing they can get rich.” [Read more →]

A Letter to John McCain in Regards to the Current Mortgage Crisis
Dear Mr. McCain,
I cannot help but express my deepest sympathies to you regarding your loss of touch with the average American. But then again, you are a republican.
For a long time, I have considered myself republican, as the belief of people taking care of themselves and protecting our country have always been a top concern. People who make a career out of being on welfare and illegal immigrants (sorry, undocumented aliens) having driver’s licenses drive me to the point of insanity. The environment, while on everyone’s mind for the future, just isn’t as high on my list as Al Gore would like it to be. If we’re being bombed with nukes via Iran, the environment won’t be worth a dime on anyone’s watch.
But I must say that I’ve absolutely had it with the republican stance on “big business”- Corporate America, if you would. Why is it that you would be more than willing to bail out the banking and mortgage industries when they fall, but refuse to help the average homeowner for making a mortgage “bad decision”?
Let me tell you something you may not realize. To the average American citizen, $8,000 is a lot of money.
Why am I telling you this? Because that’s the average pre-payment penalty if a mortgage is paid off [Read more →]

Don’t Eat That It May Be Dangerous!
Having been in the food-service industry for many years and dealing with sanitation and the health of the public there is one thing that scares me. Sure I may be reading a book on Viruses, so it got me thinking. Holy cow it got me thinking! Remember 911 and the fear of terrorists? How about someone wanting to kill allot of people quickly? How about someone wanting to just get allot of people sick? How about a food service not monitoring time and temperatures? How about not cleaning a food item that does not need to be cooked? I will never eat from one of these American Icons again. The self serve SALAD BAR!
Let me list the reasons they are so dangerous: [Read more →]

What Is Wrong With Our Schools
I was looking at the www.Foxnews.com and came across these headlines. I just wanted to point out the ridiculous, asinine and pathetic headlines in our school systems today. What happened to respect for students? What happened to obeying the school laws? What happened to dress codes? What happened to moral teachers? What happened to people not suing over the word Jesus (they are offended)? What happened to the Pledge of Allegiance? What happened to holding parents and students accountable for getting good grades? We have work to do.
- What else is new? But this one should be top of the list. No student should be exposed to this intolerable conduct. This should be 0 toloerance. The young teacher hung his head, avoiding eye contact. Yes, he had touched a fifth-grader’s breast during recess. “I guess it was just lust of the flesh,” he told his boss. When I send my child to school I expect they be protected from abuse.

Funny Letter About A Happy Period
This is an actual letter from an Austin woman sent to American
company Proctor and Gamble regarding their feminine products. She
really gets rolling after the first paragraph. It’s PC Magazine’s
2007 editors’ choice for best webmail-award- winning letter.
Dear Mr. Thatcher,
I have been a loyal user of your ‘Always’ maxi pads for over 20
years and I appreciate many of their features. Why, without the
LeakGuard Co re or Dri-Weave absorbency, I’d probably never go
horseback riding or salsa dancing, and I’d certainly steer clear of [Read more →]

Medical Miracle
It should be ‘The Picture of the Year,’ or perhaps, ‘Picture of the Decade.’ It won’t be. In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the USpaper which published it, you probably would never have seen it.
The picture is that of a 21-week-old unborn baby named Samuel Alexander Armas, who is being operated on by surgeon named Joseph Bruner. The baby was diagnosed with spina bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother’s womb. Little Samuel’s mother, Julie Armas, is an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta . She knew of Dr. Bruner’s remarkable surgical procedure. Practicing at Vanderbilt UniversityMedical Center in Nashville, he performs these special operations while the baby is still in the womb. During the procedure, the doctor removes the uterus via C-section and makes a small incision to operate on the baby. As Dr.Bruner completed the surgery on Samuel, the little guyreached his tiny, but fully developed hand through the incision and firmly grasped the surgeon’s finger. Dr.Bruner was reported as saying that [Read more →]
