The Park Services own subject matter experts (two Muslims scholars) both admitted that that the giant Mecca-oriented crescent is similar to the mihrab around which every mosque is built, then made excuses for why the Park Service shouldn't be worried. (One said not to worry because the half mile wide crescent was <a href="http://errortheory.blogspot.com/2008/01/daily-american-ad-2-fraudulent.html" rel="nofollow">TOO BIG</a> to be recognized as a mihrab.)
