It’s Official, Rosie O’Donnell Is Nuts!
Rosie O’Donnell defended Rev. Jeremiah Wright on the “Today” show on Monday, saying Barack Obama’s former pastor “made sense to me.” Senator Obama even separated himself from the racist Non-American rants of his former pastor. Rosie’s crazy interview agreeing with Rev. Wright shows again she just wants her name in the headlines. She cannot be serious:
Below is a partial transcript:
HODA KOTB, co-host: You know Rosie there has been a void on morning TV since we don’t hear your opinions. Every times there’s like, I was going through a story today “I wonder what Rosie thinks about that.” What about — can I ask you about just the little Jeremiah Wright thing?
ROSIE O’DONNELL: Yeah.
KOTB: This is a big deal. What have you been thinking when you’ve been watching this stuff in the headlines?
O’DONNELL: Well, did you see Bill Moyers recently give his speech about what happened after Reverend Wright was on his show?
KOTB: Tell, tell me.
O’DONNELL: He got thousands of e-mails, over like 5,000 e-mails and some of them irate, some of them understanding. But what it came to, boil down to in his mind is the fact that, you know, this man is, is following a tradition of black preachers and that there is a righteous indignation about people who were only considering three-fourths of a person until fairly recently in our history.

Torturing Drug Dealers? Kind Of Like Superheros?
A sadistic gang of police impersonators abducted and tortured scores of East Coast cocaine traffickers, forcing them to hand over multimillion-dollar stashes by threatening to squeeze their testicles with pliers, authorities said Tuesday.
I say SO WHAT with torturing! But how about we make a deal with these impersonators and let them hand it over to a good cause like “Recruiting more people to torture drug dealers!”. Oh sure I jest about that but think about it. They have not only gave these drug dealers a beating of their lives but they probably gave them something to think about. Should they sell drugs and get the plier treatment? How will they know if they are being watched by these outlaw gangs. I know its a vigilante thing but is that so bad to control these cocaine traffickers. Let’s make a deal with these impersonators. [Read more →]

Is Flight 93 Memorial An Islamic Symbol Pointing To Mecca?
Shanksville PA, was the tragic site for 9/11 crash in which innocent people stopped Islamic extremists from flying the United Airlines jet into an intended target in Washington, DC.
The controversy over the memorial site began when the Flight 93 Advisory Commission announced a memorial design from Paul Murdoch Architects of Los Angles called “Crescent of Embrace,” that included a crescent of maple trees around the crash site.
The Bowl is a large, existing landform roughly circular in shape that forms the heart of the memorial and park. The Bowl’s outline commemorates the collective acts of courage by the 40 passengers and crew of Flight 93 with 40 groves of Red and Sugar Maple trees, referred to as the 40 Memorial Groves, in curving embrace of [Read more →]

What Is Feminism
Feminism is defined as the advocacy of social equality for men and women, in opposition to patriarchy and sexism.
The first wave of the feminist movement in the United States began in the 1840′s as women opposed to slavery, including Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott, drew parallels between the oppression of African Americans and the oppression of women. The Seneca Falls convention began the social movement by which women finally won the right to vote in 1920. But other disadvantages persisted, and a second wave of feminism arose in the 1960′s and continues today.
The Basic Feminist Ideas:
- The Importance Of Change: Feminist thinking is decidedly political. They think ideas to action. It is critical of a status quo and advocates change toward social equality for women and men.
- Expanding Human Choice: Feminists maintain that cultural conceptions of gender divide the full range of human qualities into two opposing and limited spheres: the female world of emotions and cooperation and the male world of rationality and competition. As an alternative, feminists propose a “reintegration of humanity” by which each person develops all human traits (French, 1985).
- Eliminating Gender Stratification: Feminism opposes laws and cultural norms that [Read more →]

My Turn
That’s all I can stands, I can’t stands no more!”, borrowing a phrase from a well-known cartoon character, as he squeezed a can of spinach into his mouth creating a powerful force to fight evil. I am at that point today.
I have always heard it said never discuss politics or religion. But this is My Turn and I will talk about both, along with a healthy dose of “Media Coverage”.
We the People. . .is a powerful phrase that I have believed in since I learned about the Constitution in school, protected its ideals during the war years of my military career, and believe in today as we watch and participate in the 2008 election process.
My comments are not partisan in nature. I believe they are appropriate to all of us, liberals, conservatives, libertarians, democrats, republicans or independents. Whatever labels we apply to ourselves, we together are “We the People”.
To me, “We the People” determine who will represent us at all levels of our government, local, state, and national. “We the People” provide the insight and the desire that allow our elected officials to formalize our wants and needs consistent with the constitution. [Read more →]
