Remarks about Jews (strike 1)

Jackson has been criticized for some of the remarks he has made about Jews and Jewish issues. Most infamously, Jackson referred to Jews as “Hymies” and to New York City as “Hymietown” in January 1984 during a conversation with Washington Post reporter Milton Coleman.  Let me stop here for a minute!  ISN’T this RACISM? Jackson at first denied the remarks, then accused Jews of conspiring to defeat him. When he finally did acknowledge that it was wrong to use the term, he said he did so in private to a reporter.  Remember when Jackson said: “NBC must choose between Imus and the rest of us,” said The Rev.
