I happen to live on a dirt road myself. Just because we're "Country Bumpkins", it doesn't mean we're uneducated. Whether these people saw someone in a suit pulling a prank, or a very large bird from a distance (hysteria over previous reports could have altered the perception...), or an actual paranormal or supernatural creature that is a hybrid moth and man, however impossible that may be, its stands to reason that they all saw something! My only issue with the concept of the Mothman's appearance as a precursor for disaster is why hasn't it been seen or reported anywhere else, ever? The earth has had a fair share of disasters, so why would this creature appear before only one of them? I think it’s unnecessary to discredit someone because they live in a rural area.
