Catholic Church Urges Law Enforcement To Break The Law!

illegal aliens

Bishop Thomas Tobin of Rhode Island asked law enforcement offices with a letter to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Boston calling on federal officials to stop immigration raids in that state!   He also insisted that agents who for religious reasons refused to take part in such raids should not be punished.  With that said what I see here is the Catholic Church putting pressure on their members who work for these law enforcement offices to not do their job and break the law.  These law enforcement offices have sworn to obey the law yet the Catholic Church wants them to break it.

Here is what really gets my goat:  The Catholic Church is allowing Illegal immigrants to break the law and on top of that they are telling law enforcements to also break the law!  Does the Catholic Church care about homeland security?  Isn’t that immoral breaking the law?  Do Immigrants have ways of becoming legal?

Even the Governor of RI says “If you choose to become a law enforcement officer, you swear to uphold the laws of the state and the nation,” Carcieri said. “That’s what you do. You don’t want to do that, then don’t become a law enforcement officer.” But what does the fine Bishop say “We often ask ‘What would Jesus do?’ ” Tobin said. “I know for sure what Jesus would not do, would be to sweep into a community, gather up large numbers of people, separate them from one another and deport them to another country. In my own mind, in my own conscience, that’s crystal clear: Jesus would not do that.” I believe Jesus would not support breaking the law!

Being a Roman Catholic myself I am amazed by how the Catholic Church  goes against the laws of this land.  They promote Cardinal Law after hiding the sexual child abuse from the priest predators and now they are saying illegals should come over any time they want.  What is happening with the Catholic Church?
