Why Do I Like This Particular Tea?

  Mightleaf Chamomile Citrus Tea

I was at work one day and available for a taste test was Mighty Leaf Chamomile Citrus Tea.  I am not a tea man.  I am a beer drinking, football watching, Bizarre Foods watching man!  Ok, I do love to cook  and the smell of Yankee Candle seasonal scents but I am NOT A TEA GUY!   I may drink Chamomile Citrus Tea but that is not like I am sitting in a rocking chair sipping Earl Grey or Lipton right?  Your damn right.

How did I get on this kick of tea you say?  Well since this is my website and I can write about anything I want. (if anyone makes fun of me or criticizes me about drinking tea in the comment sections I will DELETE them!  Do you hear that Ernie?)  Let’s get back to why I enjoy drinking this Chamomile Citrus tea from Mighty Leaf (this is not a paid article for Mighty Leaf but if they would like to supply me with free tea email me at dlaprade@learnsomethingnewtoday.us)  What was I saying? Oh yes this tea is actually whole peaces of citrus peels, little Chamomile buds and other exotic herbs wrapped in a little nice sachet.  The flavor is almost citrus bubble gum to me since I only add sugar.  Its got a nice citrus zing to it but I think its the Chamomile that got me hooked!  So I had to find out what the hell is Chamomile anyway?

The Chamomile flower is most often consumed in the form of a bitter herb tea infusion. Taken internally, the infusion’s effects include calming of the digestive tract, and easing of the spasms of irritable bowel syndrome, nocturnal cramps and period pains. It’s a relaxant and sedative, so it is often taken against insomnia or anxiety. The infusion can be used externally to reduce minor skin irritation because of its mild antiseptic effect and it lightens the hair. Ingestion of the dried flowers has an emetic effect.

I found out that this tea calms my  bowls!  I am not a woman but did you read that it also calms period pain?  I do know that it does relax me after I drink this lovely potion.  I sleep like a baby after downing a cup.  I do have to say though that to use this wonderful tea to lighten your hair would just seem not financially worth it.
