This painting by George Tooker is a pwerful statement about the human cost of bureaucracy. The human beings are reduced to mere “cases”. Officials are faceless? Fingers on calculators? What are your thoughts?

That’s why we need more liberty and less government.
Whether or not people are reduced to “cases” is a personal choice and not driven by bureaucracy. When the employee reward system is properly structured – whether in a capitalist system or any other system – employees tend to change their behavior to optimize the reward. Likewise, if there is no penalty for lack of service or attention then none will be given, i.e., cases.
W/MOST OF THE WORLD OWNING A PIECE “O” THE PIE
AS IT STANDS, WON’T BE LONG TILL WE ARE AN INTEGRAL
PART OF THE CHINESE WORK FORCE. HOPING THE CONDITIONS WONT BE AS DEPLORABLE.
