Watching The Border For Illegal Immigrants?

  It’s all over the news. It is actually being debated by many.  Is it right for ordinary United States Citizens and even Non United States Citizens to be watching the borders for Illegal Immigrants?  In the news is do we put up a giant fence?  Is it racist to pick on Mexican border?  Is it actually keeping out terrorists?  Who should pay for this?  Is this even ethical?

 I was recently listening to a radio broadcast talking about this very subject.  They were talking about how people debate if it is worth the money to put up these cameras.  They talked about how ordinary citizens should not take the law in their own hands.  Let me talk about this one second.  I recently visited one of these websites called blueservo.net and it really seems pretty ethical to me.  I can watch the cameras they have posted on this site and if I see anything possibly suspicious I can hit the red report suspicious activity button and the process of notifying the authorities begins.  Is this a bad thing?  As an American Citizen should I have the right to report to my authorities suspicious activities?  They even mentioned on the radio broadcast that there is a bar in Australia that has this website up for the patrons to have fun monitoring.
