My Anti Conspiracy Thoughts–Too many Conspiracy Theories Go Around

In connection with the WTC disaster there are conspiracy theories that have been proposed. Such as that the airliner did not fit the size of the building. A terrorist passport was found in good order, whereas everything else was destroyed. The building simply could not have collapsed because of the crash, despite all the kerosine. And so on and so forth.

There have been many conspiracy theories about all kinds of ‘hidden agenda’s’. King David also had a hidden agenda when he conspired with his army to have Uriah killed, the husband of Bathsheba. We all, in fact, have hidden agenda’s. They are called our sins, not exposed yet by the Holy Spirit to our consciences.

Movie Reviews – Bass Ackwards

Movie reviews this week looks at the charming road trip movie Bass Ackwards.

It stars Linas Philips as Linas (you get the feeling this might be a little closer to home, when the lead actor uses his real first name), it also stars John and Gema Philips, Linas’s real life parents as themselves.

We meet Linas as he videos a wedding, speaking to some of the people at the wedding, alternated with flash backs of when Linas was a kid, and his affectionate and adorable family.

Linas is currently staying at a friend’s place, but inevitably his friend and girlfriend would like some privacy, so Linas moves out, and starts working at a Llama farm, run by a wonderful Alpaca farmer played by Bill Green, who has a classic 1976 converted Volkswagen mini, Linas falls in love with the moment he sees it; that is a source of constant amusement [Read more →]

Chardonnay: It Isn’t Always What You Think

Often times people will describe their taste in wine, and when they describe their ideal white wine, they will say “I like Chardonnay”. Of course, there are a growing number of wine drinkers that are saying “ABC” or “Anything But Chardonnay” a backlash to the prevalence of the wine, but that is another matter.
